{"id":1702,"date":"2019-04-17T15:42:38","date_gmt":"2019-04-17T13:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casalerosennano.it\/pienza\/"},"modified":"2019-04-22T15:29:32","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T13:29:32","slug":"pienza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casalerosennano.it\/en\/pienza\/","title":{"rendered":"Pienza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pienza is the symbol town of the Val d\u2019Orcia, a very interesting stop that can be visited together with Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bagn Vignoni and San Quirico d\u2019Orcia, by having one entire day dedicated to the beauty of this valley.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from being the capital of pecorino cheese, typical of Val d\u2019Orcia, Pienza is also the first \u201cideal town\u201d of Renaissance, created according to the golden number by Enea Silvio Piccolomini, when he became Pope Pius II and transformed his birthvillage (Corsignano) in the actual town that took his name.<\/p>\n<p>The project was carried out by the architect Bernardo Rossellino under the guidance of Leon Battista Alberti.
